History of MAEDAKOSEN

    • 1918
      Maeda Weaving Factory founded.

    • 1970S

      1972
      MAEDAKOSEN CO., LTD. established.
      Began manufacturing and selling “ENDREN” products for civil engineering applications.
      1974
      Built a new head office and factory.

    • 1980S

      1983
      Began manufacturing rigid bristles, completing an integrated production system for the civil engineering materials business.
      1985
      Tape Tech Co., Ltd. established.

    • 1990S

      1992
      Established a division for the manufacture and sale of adhesive anchors.
      1994
      Relocated the head office to Harue-cho, Sakai-gun (now Sakai City), Fukui Prefecture.
      1998
      Voruka Enji Co., Ltd. established.
      1999
      Changed the name of Voruka Enji Co., Ltd. to MC Kenkyusho Co., Ltd. and launched a cleaning business for cleanroom textile products.

    • 2000S

      2000
      Obtained ISO 9001 certification.
      2001
      Built the No. 3 Factory at the head factory and introduced laminating equipment.
      2002
      Merged with and absorbed Tape Tech Co., Ltd.; MC Kenkyusho Co., Ltd.; Gaian Co., Ltd.; Konkon Co., Ltd.; and Rin Sekkei Co., Ltd.; acquired the Sabae Factory.
      Ohta Kogyo Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary; began manufacturing and selling materials to prevent the spread of contaminated water, oil spills, and other pollutants.
      2003
      Opened the Maruoka Factory.
      The Tokyo branch office reorganized into the Tokyo head office, establishing a dual-head-office structure with the Fukui head office.
      2004
      Acquired plastic wood, road materials, and civil engineering materials businesses from Zeon Environmental Materials Co., Ltd.
      2005
      Acquired non-woven fabric manufacturing and sales business from Nippon Non-woven Fabrics Co., Ltd. and established a new company under the same name Nippon Non-woven Fabrics Co., Ltd.
      Obtained ISO 14001 certification.
      2007
      Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
      2008
      Merged with and absorbed Ohta Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Nippon Non-woven Fabrics Co., Ltd.
      2009
      Magne Corporation, which develops, manufactures and sells multifunctional special polymer cement mortar, and Sun Green Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells vegetation products, products made from forest thinning, and river edge products, became subsidiaries.

      2010
      Merged with and absorbed Sun Green Co., Ltd. and Magne Corporation.
      2011
      Kitahara Denboku Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells products that prevent damage caused by birds and animals, electric fences and grazing facilities, became a subsidiary.
      Established MAEDA KOSEN VIETNAM Co., Ltd. as a subsidiary in Vietnam.
      2012
      Technos Co., Ltd., which manufactures, sells and processes under contract highly functional wiping cloths, etc., became a subsidiary.
      Designated for listing on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
      2013
      Acquired all shares of Washi Kosan Co., Ltd. and Washi Beam Co., Ltd., both companies subject to corporate reorganization engaged in the manufacturing and selling of light alloy forged wheels for automobiles and other business, and made them subsidiaries.
      Washi Beam Co., Ltd. absorbed Washi Kosan Co., Ltd. and BBS Japan Co., Ltd. with the objective of concentrating management resources and improving managerial efficiency, and changed its name to BBS Japan Co., Ltd.
      2014
      DAIICHI, Co., Ltd., which performs circular knitting and false-twisting processing of polyester yarn for clothing and various industrial materials, became a subsidiary.
      2015
      Established MIRAI TECHNO Co., Ltd. inherited disaster prevention, leisure tent, shock-absorbing mat, and oil boom production and sales from former company Ogawa Techno Co.,Ltd.
      2016
      Green System Co.,Ltd. which designs, installs, and sells greenhouses, agricultural materials, and planting systems, became a subsidiary.
      Kitahara Denboku Co., Ltd. absorbed Green System Co., Ltd. to concentrate management resources and improve management efficiency, and changed its name to Mirai no Agri Co., Ltd.
      Technos Co., Ltd. absorbed Daiichi Co., Ltd. to concentrate management resources and improve management efficiency, and changed its name to Mirai Kosen Co., Ltd.
      Received the 16th Porter Prize.
      2017
      Established MAEDAKOSEN Capital Limited Liability Company.
      2018
      Acquired Kushiro High Meal Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells fish meal and fish oil, and made it a subsidiary.
      2019
      Established OKINAWA KOSEN Co., Ltd. which manufactures, sells and rents civil engineering materials.
      Received the 55th Meritorious person prize for Electrical security by Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

      Received the 6th Japan Resilience Award Excellent Resilience Award.
      Received the 22nd National Land Technology Development Award.
      2021
      SK Electric Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells electric fences and sells dairy products, became a subsidiary.
      Received the 4th EcoPro Awards Encouraging prize.
      Seven Chemical Inc., which manufactures and sells highly functional waterproof materials and protective / finishing materials for outer walls, became a subsidiary.
      MIRAI no Agri Co., Ltd. absorbed SK Electric Industry Co., Ltd. to concentrate management resources and improve management efficiency.
      2022
      50th Anniversary of establishment
      Received the 17th Fukui Prefecture Science and Technology Award Special Prize.
      Listed on the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
      Received the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2022.
      2023
      Received the 2022 JSCE Innovative Technique Award.
      Received the 18th Textile Technology Achievement Award.
      2024
      Received the JEPOC (Japan Electric Power Civil Engineering Association) Takahashi Award.
      Saikobo Co., Ltd., which plans, designs, manufactures and sells equipment for kindergartens, nursery schools and various play equipment, became a subsidiary.
      2025
      Mitsui Chemicals Industrial Products Ltd., which Manufactures, processes, and sells synthetic resin products, civil engineering materials, building materials and piping materials, and changed its name to Maedakosen Industrial Products Co., Ltd.
      2026
      Acquired NAGOYA OIL CHEMICAL CO., LTD. which manufactures and sells automotive sound-absorbing surface materials.
