PVC tarpaulin
PVC tarpaulin is a material in which the base cloth is coated with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin. Since the surface PVC has a stable molecular structure, oxidation reactions are unlikely to occur, and even when used as a float cover, high strength and durability can be maintained for a long time.
Polyester
Polyester is a synthetic fiber with high strength and abrasion resistance, and is used for tension belts that protect the fence from damage caused by external forces such as waves and wind. Since it has low hygroscopicity, it can prevent deterioration of strength and durability due to water, and it also demonstrates excellent performance as a material for boom skirt.
Polyethylene and nylon
Since polyethylene is not only high strength but also a lightweight material among plastic materials, it has excellent workability. Nylon has “flexibility” that is resistant to abrasion and bending, as well as chemical resistance that is particularly strong against alkalis.
The silt causes water pollution
Pollution caused by civil engineering work such as the sea and rivers is caused by sedimentation on the bottom of the water. Most of these are called fine-grained soils such as silt and other clays and colloids, and once floated in water, they do not easily settle. OK Silt Fence promotes natural sedimentation while preventing the spread of fine-grained soil.

Obligation to install booms based on the Marine Pollution Prevention Law and the Combinat Disaster Prevention Law
The Marine Pollution Prevention Law and the Combinat Disaster Prevention Law stipulate the obligation to install booms for specific businesses. OK Oil Fence offers legally compliant product numbers (OK-200M, OK-300M) in accordance with these laws and regulations. For legally compliant product numbers, fasteners and shackles that comply with JIS standards (F9900-2) are used to standardize connections between manufacturers.

Marine Pollution Prevention Law
Owners of vessels and ship mooring facilities that meet the prescribed conditions are obligatory to install a type A or B type boom approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, depending on the size of the vessel or facility, so that they can take appropriate measures in the event of an oil spill in the area.

Combinat Disaster Prevention Law
At business establishments located in special disaster prevention areas such as oil refineries combinat, if the prescribed conditions are met and the amount of oil stored and handled reaches 10,000 kiloliters or more, the standard oil boom specified by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is obligatory to install according to the amount of storage and handling.

The oil collected by the boom
If non-volatile heavy oil or crude oil spills into the sea due to an accident, an oil boom is used and surrounds it to prevent it from spreading to the surrounding area. At that time, the oil adsorption sheet ” SPLITOP Oil-Adsorption sheet” is useful for collecting the boom collected oil. If a sufficient amount of sheet have been prepared in stock, the boom corrected oil can remove efficiently in a wide range of spilled oil that cannot be covered by manual work with a dipper, by vacuuming or by spraying an oil treatment agent. Because it is lightweight, it can be easily moved from the storage location.
